Cute little stand alone Mexican restaurant. They make their own chips. I could eat them all day. They do have both booth and table seating as well as a carry out counter. Very reasonably priced. The lunch special was a taco with rice and beans, and of course all you can eat chips for $4.10. I had the cheese enchilada, chile verde burrito combo. It was $10. What a deal for such tasty food. I couldn't even finish half of it. The front of the house staff were particularly customer service oriented. Some of the friendliest I've met. They seemed to know everyone by name, too. That takes talent! I would definitely come back.

Service was good and friendly but food is not good. Both dishes ordered tasted like saucy canned beef on tortillas. Chips and salsa were the highlight of the meal.

Awful!!! I DO NOT understand the hype about this place! Terrible food and terrible service. The waitress seated us, then forgot about us. After we walked in, another person walked in on his lunch hour, was seated, ordered and was served before we were asked for our order! The waitress failed to bring everything we asked for and even brought the extra salsa we asked for AFTER we finished our food. When I say finished our food, I mean finish what we could stomach. Every thing we ordered was swimming in grease. The chicken in the enchiladas was dry, the sauce was cheap canned sauce, the rice was very dry and looked like it was left over from the day before. The only thing half way decent about the experience at La Casita was the ice tea, not great, just decent. We had to seek out alka seltzer immediately upon leaving. This is not authentic Mexican food, it's cheap and nasty. I would not recommend anyone eat there.

The location is out of the way, the building is small but it has still a local favorite that remains one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area.

I don't get all the hype about this place? The tacos taste like they added the Kroger brand taco seasoning. They must have ran out of salsa and added two cups of water to the last two tablespoons. The service? It was horrible. I went there with a friend and there was one other man in there who had already been served his food. It took forever for someone to come out from the back and we were told to sit wherever we like. It them took another 10 mins to have our chips and salsa delivered; then another 20 mins to place our order. Our drinks were never refilled. When we finally saw the waitress again, I asked for a refill and she looked at me and asked if we were going to order more food. I just needed some more fluids to wash down the bland taco taste.

Please DO NOT eat here then think all the Mexican food here in Twin is like this. The food here is barely average and certainly nothing spectacular. Average, average, average. The salsa tastes like spicy water with salt sprinkled in. The atmosphere inside is small and boring (blank walls). I don't receive the feeling that I am in a Mexican food restaurant. When I went there they said they don't have shredded beef. What kind of MEXICAN restaurant doesn't have shredded beef? Ok, so, give me GROUND beef in my enchilada? Yuck. No thanks. I can make ground beef tacos at home. I would only go there on some other persons dime and even then I'd break social norms by suggesting that he/she take me somewhere else.

Decent Mexican food, chicken taco was very good. Beans were ok rice was over seasoned but overall pretty good. I would eat there again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
